Website enquiries

The enquiry box prepares a message in your browser. It does not send the message to us or save it in a website account. When you choose WhatsApp, the draft is passed to WhatsApp as its page opens. When you choose email, your email app receives the draft and may save it. We receive your enquiry when you send it from your chosen app. Please do not include device passcodes, passwords or payment details.

If you follow a Contact link from a repair page, temporary storage in that browser tab carries your enquiry details to the Contact page. The stored copy is removed when the Contact page reads it, and a copy more than ten minutes old is not restored. This does not send the details to us. You can clear the carried-over details with Start again. We do not use this feature to track visits.

If you contact us, we may receive your name, contact details, device and fault details, job reference, and anything else you choose to include. We use this information to respond, discuss options, arrange and carry out agreed work, and deal with follow-up questions or complaints.

Why we use it

Who else handles information

Our staff handle enquiries and customer repair records are stored on our encrypted local server. Fasthosts hosts this website and may process standard connection and security logs; the website does not host our email. Our business email provider processes email we receive. If you choose WhatsApp, WhatsApp processes the draft and conversation under its own service. If you load the Google map, Google receives connection information, including your IP address, and may set cookies. These services may process information outside the UK; their own privacy information explains their handling. You can use the written address and directions without loading the map.

We do not run website analytics or advertising scripts at this launch.

How long we keep information

We keep enquiry information while we handle your request and any necessary follow-up. If it becomes a repair or transaction, we keep the relevant record for as long as needed to provide the service, address a complaint or claim, and meet legal or accounting duties. We use those purposes to decide when a record is no longer needed. Ask us about a particular record using the contact details above.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us for access to your personal information, to correct it, or to delete it where the law allows. You may also have rights to restrict its use or object to processing based on our legitimate interests. Contact us using the details above. You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you are concerned about how your information is used.
